Behold, as I attempt to review a film

I've had My Sister's Keeper sitting on the coffee table from Netflix for a few days.  Every night until now, I wasn't feeling like digging in to a 2 hour movie.
This one was definitely a tear-jerker.   I knew it was going to be because I read the book a few months ago.  Overall, I think they did a pretty good job turning the book in to a movie.  Abigail Breslin is brilliant in any role she plays, and Cameron Diaz definitely played her part well.  It was a little concerning in the beginning that they had placed Alec Baldwin in such a serious role as the lawyer.  He just looked uncomfortable.  The further into the movie, though, the more he seemed to be feeling his part.  I don't like the ending as much as the ending in the book.  But I suppose Hollywood loves a happy ending, and the books was just too sad.
Not a bad one to have on my list of watched movies.

Transferring from tumblr...

I found blogger to be much more full of features and am able to personalize my blog more on this site than on tumblr.  The following is just a compilation of my posts transferred from my previous blog... (original photos not included, sorry.)

We found our first geocache!
And then we found one more.  We also found a great go to place for a picnic within about 5 minutes of our apartment.
Zach came home, napped, had to be woken up to eat dinner, and went straight back to sleep.  Felt good to know we had actually found a way for him to use up that endless energy.

Loving the weather
Got to enjoy a bike ride to Carmichael park after enjoying a Saturday morning at work. Found my first letterbox! Tomorrow we have a day of geocaching along the river planned. Thinking about spending the afternoon searching thrift stores for legs off a table to use for making the cat bed I had in mind. Can’t wait to get started on that and post pictures of the progress.

I was super excited to find my first letter box today! This one was hidden in Carmichael park. To find out more about letterboxing, go to www.atlasquest.com. You might be surprised to find where ones hidden in a place near you you may have passed a million times. Also a good excuse to get out and explore places you’ve never been to.

And so it begins... again
I tried this a couple months back, didn’t get very far.  I’m beginning this time with more optimism.  I feel more commited to this list than before.  I’ve already made it much further than my prior list of about 30 items.
Playing some “Hasbro Family Game Night” tonight.  Don’t plan on knocking out many achievements, just relaxing and getting how the game works.
